Toronto Councillor's Financial Scandals Keep Adding Up

Scandal seems to be following Gorgio Mammoliti everywhere these days.

Three days ago, it was revealed that Mammoliti was being investigated by police because of a fundraiser last May where he accepted a $80,000 gift and, according to the City Integrity Commissioner, used 2 City-paid staff to organize the fundraiser of a course of weeks.

The Toronto Media Co-op is seeking a candidate for our Membership and Admin Coordinator position.

This position is funded by a Canada Summer Jobs Grant and can only be filled by a someone between 18-30 years of age registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year and returning to school on a full time basis.

Ed. Note - A string of sexual assaults have occured in a number of areas in Toronto over the past few weeks. Four women were assalted in the east of downtown core - between the streets of Wellesley, Parliament, Yonge and Sherbourne. An assault also occured at York university which has been plaugued by a string of assaults over the past two years.

On March 26, an Ontario Court of Appeals decision struck down a ban on brothels.
