The 5th annual march organized by No One is Illegal brought thousands of Torontonians out to march this May day. Various speakers spoke of labour, migrant rights, immigration policy, both before and after demonstrators marched from St. Jamestown to Moss Park in the Eastern-end of Toronto. St. Jamestown is a collection of rental low-income rental towers, densely packed with various communities in Toronto. Many residents watched both the speakers and march at it threaded through various rental block areas. Jason Kenney, Federal Minister of Immigration, was the object of repeated denunciations and critiques with many protests, signs and speakers calling for his resignation due to policy during his tenure.

A separate rally was held in the Northern part of the City at the CUPE 4400 offices on Bathurst and St. Clair with hundreds of marches heading to Wychwood Barns.
