COAST SALISH TERRITORY - Activists set up a "fracking rig" on BC Premier Christy Clark's front lawn in Vancouver this morning. The premier was at home, but declined an invitation from the activists to join them to "celebrate her efforts to promote more hydrolic fracturing in BC" and sign away her water rights.

Insite Wins! Supreme Court backs safe injection site

VANCOUVER - The Supreme Court has unanimously ruled in favour of the Insite safe injection site. The decision came early this morning from Ottawa that Insite is exempt from federal drug laws.

A crowd of more than 300 was on hand outside Insite to cheer the decison at about 7am local time.

SIMON FRASER UNIVERSITY - A student group calling itself UR SFSS has taken over the offices of the SFU Student Society to demand an end to the 79 day lockout of society staff.

About a dozen members of the United Responsibe Students For Staff and Space have vowed to occupy the offices for an hour for every week the SFSS has locked out its own staff.
