2. Video: Mamwi (Together)

Elder Jake found Mamwi, an orphaned baby hawk, in the aftermath of Resolute Forest Product's logging in one section of the forest this past summer on Algonquin territory (Lac Poigan, QC). In this video, his sister, Elder Louise Wawatie, asks the Resolute representative at the blockade site to call all the Resolute workers (who are on standby with logging machines idle) over to hear her speak. The SQ police representative refuses. Elder Jake soon afterwards holds out Mamwi to show to the Resolute representative and SQ police while explaining why he is defending his homeland.
