A pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing Queen Street in Toronto's Parkdale neighbourhood. The victim's shoes and glasses can be seen at least two car lengths from where the body came to rest. Police collect evidence from the scene while TTC streetcars remain stopped for several hours in both directions.

Why is this one of the Top Stories on Media Coop? The pictures are not tied to a story. And they are kinda a macabre spectacle. Pretty confusing to have a "Fait divers" as a Top Story from Toronto.... Nice pictures, I guess.
