G20 Document reveals basis for Intelligence Gathering

The document included below has been cited in several recent news reports, and is now available for the public to read in full. It was quoted in a recent expose Living Among Us, in Briarpatch Magazine, and was examined in more detail in the infographic Threatening Ideologies, which appeared in the Dominion Newspaper, both by Tim Groves. It was also examined in a recent CBC report by Dave Seglins.

The following document explores:

- what the security police viewed threats to the G20,

- the mandate to disrupt threats

- the investigative techniques employed

- reveals that a list of suspects, persons of interest and their associates had already been compiled over a year ahead of the G20.

This Document is just one of hundreds of G20 related documents released under the Access to Information Act to a team of researchers. We are planning to do a massive release of documents in the fall, but are looking for people who would like to get a sneak preview of some of these documents in order to write articles and analysis pieces to be released along with the documents. The ideas is that people would be given access to documents if they agree not to release them before a given date. If your interested being involved in accessing these documents or helping to spread the word once they come out, please fill out  this form .
