If you are interested in taking direct action, and want to learn about your rights, the legal process, and legal support, we invite you to come to this free workshop. Everyone is invited.

Please RSVP to activistes.canada@greenpeace.org to reserve a spot (we want to make sure we have enough space for everyone)

Topics will include:

  • Know your rights - in theory and practice
  • Common charges faced by activists and organizers, under criminal law and injunctions/contempt
  • The arrest and bail process
  • How to organize legal support; before, during and after an action.

This will be a space to learn more about the legal process from an experienced lawyer and activist. It is an opportunity to develop your skills, ask any questions you may have, hear experiences from activists who have dealt with the arrest and bail process. You'll also get more tools to help our movements challenge corporate power with confidence in our legal support teams.

Please join us, and invite your allies and affinity groups.

Hosted by:
Irina Ceri, - works as a Criminal Defense Lawyer and an Immigration Lawyer in Vancouver, Unceeded Coast Salish Territories
Jef Bradshaw – Jef works in the activist development program at Greenpeace Canada
