Calling all Artists, Cultural Workers and

Social Justice Advocates!
The Public Exposures Symposium is running this weekend!
May 27, 28, 29, 2016

This weekend event, in conjunction with Public Exposures: the art-activism of condé + beveridge (1976-2016), is bringing together participants from diverse communities and working sectors—practicing artists, community activists, union members, educators, students, and more.

Drawing on Carole Condé and Karl Beveridge’s innovative art and strategic activism, participants will discuss issues and strategies that they and many others are engaging around needs for social, economic, and environmental justice.

Over the weekend, there will be workshop talks, film screenings, panel discussions, a keynote address and plenty of opportunity for networking, alliance building and a renewal in grassroots collaborations, seeding new possibilities for artists and activists working in the public sphere.

Please join us for all or some of these events!
For full Public Exposures Symposium details, watch the Facebook Page <>  and Website <>
We kindly ask that you RSVP at your earliest convenience for the Saturday and Sunday events at
We will be asking for a small PWYC fee at the door to help cover the cost of food. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
All venues are wheelchair accessible.

The Public Exposures project is made possible by many funders and collaborators, such as:

A Space Gallery, Prefix, Trinity Square Video, Urbanspace Gallery, YYZ, Mayworks, Contact Photography Festival, 401 Richmond, Canadian Labour Congress, OCAD University, UFCW Canada, UNIFOR, Public Service Alliance of Canada, Ontario Arts Council, United Steelworkers, V Tape, Carfac Ontario, Carfac National, On Site At OCADU, Justice for Migrant Workers, Toronto Arts Council, OPSEU, CUPE, Migrant Workers Alliance for Change, SSHRCC, Canada Council for the Arts, Workers Arts and Heritage Centre, CLSEW and AMAPCEO.
