New Gold is a Canadian mining company operating gold and silver mines in the United States, Mexico, Australia. The company is also involved in projects and exploration in Canada and Chile.
New Gold is being targetted because it is operating an illegal mine in Cerro San Pedro, Mexico. Also for its repeated and well documented human rights and environmental abuses in Mexico as well as violating indigenous self-determination at its joint venture project at Chile's El Moro mine.
People will be rallying outside New Gold's Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, May 4th, to tell shareholders that the abuse has got to stop.

New Gold es una compañia canadiense operando minas de oro y plata en los Estados Unidos, México y Australia. La compañia también está involucrada en proyectos y exploración de minerales en Canada y Chile.
New Gold esta siendo señalada porque está operando una mina ilegal en Cerro de San Pedro, México (Minera San Xavier). También por sus repetidos y bien documentados abusos a los derechos humanos y daño ambiental en México, así como su proyecto conjunto en la mina El Moro en Chile.
Personas se estarán reuniendo afuera de la reunión general anual de New Gold el miércoles 4 de mayo, para decirles a los accionistas que los abusos deben de detenerse.
