Families of Sisters in Spirit (FSIS) is creating a music video! Check out the Four Our Sisters Music Video Project: http://igg.me/p/201877?a=1011401
In Canada, Aboriginal women are five times more likely than other women to die as a result of violence. FSIS wants to change that statistic. FSIS is a volunteer, grassroots, non-profit organization led by families of missing and murdered Aboriginal women and girls. The goals of the For Our Sisters music video are:
1. To raise awareness and inspire action on the issue of missing and murdered Aboriginal women and girls
2. To promote FSIS and the work it does
3. To promote FSIS' two big annual events on Parliament Hill, the 4 October Vigil and 14 february Day of Justice
So we need money! Your contribution will fund a beautiful and compelling music video, which will help FSIS reach out to more people. The song, "For Our Sisters, by Julie Comber is a call to action for everyone to help stop violence against Aboriginal women and girls. Please go to http://igg.me/p/201877?a=1011401 to learn more about the project, and please give generously!
Please share this far and wide. From our Indiegogo Campaign page, you can use the share tools to get the word out on FB, Twitter, email and more!
Thanks for all you do and keep shining!
