A panel on the role of alternative media during the G20 and the activities of the Alternative Media Centre will be held on Thursday, November 11th at 12:30 PM at York University's Nat Taylor Cinema (Ross Building N102).
Join members and founders of the Alternative Media Centre (a project of the Toronto Media Co-op) to discuss how the Centre was set-up and functioned as a space for independent journalists to cover policy-making, activism and the illegal activities of the Toronto police and RCMP during the summit. The panel will also more broadly speak to the role alternative media plays during large activist mobilizations.
Scheduled to present are Megan Cotton-Kinch, Geordie Dent, Tim Groves, Kate Milberry, Alessandra Renzi, and Justin Saunders. This even will be moderated by Ryan Robert Mitchell and Eli Horwatt.
Thank You
