On Monday October 4th hundreds gathered at Queens Park, for the Sisters and Brothers in Solidarity Rally and vigil. With the over 580 murdered and missing Aboriginal women, on their minds and on their voices, they marched to Allan Gardens. They stopped several times along the way including at the Toronto Police Head Quarters and the Catholic Children's Aid Society.
"Only 53% of the cases involving Native women was someone charged , where as the average rate for charges in a homicide in Canada is 84% " read the back of a song sheet handed out on the march.
Other Rallies and Actions took place across the country.
