Raging Grannies drop new single: Shield Source and Tritium Contamination in Peterborough

The Raging Grannies singing a song about tritium pollution. The apple tree behind them is in a residential area 4.5 km north of an exhaust stack at Shield Source Inc. The company located at the Peterborough Airport releases large amounts of radioactive tritium into the air during the manufacture of self luminescent glow in the dark lights. Apples from this tree have elevated concentrations of radioactive tritium that can cause cancers and birth defects.
