The April 28th Coalition organized a Peace, Respect and Friendship walk from Edinburgh park to the Douglas Creek Estates reclamation site. The walk crossed the historic Grand River on their way to the reclamation site. The walk was very peaceful with only a few brief verbal exchanges with bigoted locals. Locals along the route holding solidarity signs and the performance of the local band Raven's Fall illustrated that not all residents of Caledonia are against first nations peoples.
Watch for posts of speakers to follow.
Also see a photo essay here of the same action, also by Darryl.
